Pretty nice summer this year in MN. Hard to be in the shop when the trees are enjoying their four months of happiness per year.
Main summer project besides some repairs is a 12 fret Brazilian 000 Slothead. Box is closed, binding is on, and it should be ready to go to finish in a couple of weeks. It is a commission for an excellent player at St John;s University.
A 16” Laminate archtop should be back from finish this week. It will head to David Roos for sale.
Looks like the next guitar will be a Brazilian/Adi Dred for Glenn Elvig of Creek House Concert Fame. The wood is from retired master mandolin and guitar builder Hans Brentrup. I plan to build a double side Mahogany OM at the same time.
Had a few grandkid encounters this summer in Minnesota and Colorado. Lots of fun. Wore me out
