Working on two OM’s. One Rosewood/Lutz (double side), and a quilted Mahogany OM for an old client who sent me this beautiful wood. The Rosewood should be at The Podium in October or early November. Pictures soon.
Archtop in finish. Adi/Maple. Should be at The Podium in September. It’ll have a Kent Armstrong floating humbucker pickup.
Shop was pretty much on hold for ten days of grandkids. Here are the granddaughters with the guitar that started it all. A Martin kit D28 that my son Matt built in 1996 and gave to me. He walked me through an OM kit shortly after and I was hooked.
Had a couple of interesting repair projects. A mid 60’s Gibson ladder braced LGO with the plastic bridge and loose braces and damaged bridge plate. A new Rosewood bridge turned it into a great little blues box.
And a 70’s Maple Lo Prinzi Dred from the AMF years. Neck reset, new bridge, and bridge plate repair.
These are real bargains if you can find a good one. I’ve repaired several and they have all been excellent guitars when set up properly.
I plan to do another OM for the store and will try to get it there before Christmas.
